Men's Soccer Heads to Defiance on Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hits the road for Defiance College and a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer matchup on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Rose-Hulman currently leads the HCAC standings at 4-0 in league play after recording four consecutive shutouts. Goalkeepers Michael Lawrence and Carter Wright have combined to shutout the opposition eight times so far this season.

Offensively, Alex Jansen, Ben Lyon and Austin Webb lead the offensive attack with four goals each. Turner Perkins has contributed three goals and Dieter Schultz had a team-high five assists.

Defiance stands 5-6-2 on the season and 2-1-1 in conference play after defeating Earlham 2-1 on Wednesday. Nick Kleptz leads the Defiance offense with six goals and Clay Musgrave has a team-high 92 saves to pace the Yellow Jackets defensive effort.

After Saturday's match, Rose-Hulman returns home to face Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday Oct. 19 at the Engineer Intramural Field.
