TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team will be awarded a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference forfeit victory over Bluffon University on the team's originally scheduled Senior Day match on Saturday.
Due to injuries, Bluffton's roster is currently not at a level to field a complete team for Saturday's matchup. Rose-Hulman will clinch a bid to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament and the team's league record will improve to 6-1 with the awarded victory.
Rose-Hulman will conduct its originally scheduled Senior Day Ceremony at approximately 1:10 p.m. on Saturday. Natalie Aw, Miranda Chastain and Shayna Oriold are the three Fightin' Engineer seniors for 2016.
Aw has appeared in 43 games at Rose-Hulman with one goal and is an electrical engineering and economics double major. Chastain has started 29 matches with 64 appearances with one goal and two assists and is a mechanical engineering major. Oriold has appeared in 14 matches at Rose-Hulman and is a computer science and economics double major.
Rose-Hulman will carry an 11-5 overall record into Wednesday's match at Franklin College. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Franklin.
