WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology recorded four top-10 finishes at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships at Purdue University, including one event win.
Senior Pierce Bartine topped a field of NCAA Division I swimmers from multiple institutions to win the 100-butterfly in a time of 50.67 seconds.
On the women's side, senior Ellie Hong led the performance with a ninth-place finish in the 100-backstroke in a time of 1:00.08.
Two relay teams recorded top 10 finishes, including a strong men's runner-up finish. Bartine, Tyler Sariscsany, Patrick King and Nate Weber came home second in the 200-meter freestyle relay a time of 1:27.33.
The women's 200-freestyle relay team of Tana Hendrickson, Maria Kline, Natalie Allen and Lauren Blake added a 10th place finish in 1:53.62.
Rose-Hulman placed sixth overall in the team scoring in both genders against a field containing most of the Division I institutions in Indiana.
Rose-Hulman returns to action with the men at Ball State on Friday and the women at Illinois Wesleyan Saturday.
