TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will celebrate 20 years of Fightin' Engineer volleyball as part of Saturday's home regular season finale against Transylvania University.
Several former players are expected to return and be introduced prior to the 3 pm matchup against Transylvania. The pregame reception inside Hulbert Arena for alumni begins at 2 pm. Alumni players will be introduced prior to the game.
Rose-Hulman and Transylvania have much at stake for Saturday's matchup. Rose-Hulman would secure a home game in the HCAC Tournament first round with a victory, and Transylvania would have a possibility of a home game with a win. The HCAC Tournament pairings will be released Sunday following the conclusion of the regular season schedule.
Rose-Hulman clinched a bid to the HCAC Tournament with a three-set win over Anderson on Wednesday's Senior Night Game at Hulbert Arena. Sophomore Bailey MacInnis has a team-high 249 kills, and the tandem of Alison Rogozinski and Katie Orbeta have more than 800 combined assists.
The duo of Emily McLendon (112 blocks) and Gabi Razma (545 digs) also lead the HCAC in their defensive categories.
The six-team HCAC Tournament begins Wednesday Nov. 2. The top seed will host semifinal and championship round action on Nov. 5-6.
