TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman volleyball team wrapped up HCAC play with a three-set sweep over Transylvania on Saturday afternoon.
Rose-Hulman won a close first set 25-23. The Fightin' Engineers again pulled out a close victory in set number two 26-24. RHIT won decisively in the third set 25-15.
Katie Orbeta and Marissa Gollnick handed out 15 and 12 assists respectively. Gollnick also led the squad with seven kills. Adekite Oladipupo and Bailey MacInnis chipped in six kills apiece as well. Gabi Razma collected 18 digs in the match.
With the win, the Fightin' Engineers improved to 14-16 overall and finished HCAC play with a record of 6-3. Rose-Hulman will have a home match in the HCAC Tourament this coming Wednesday November 2, gametime is TBD.
