TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team opens its home schedule on Wednesday at 7 pm, hosting St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.
The Fightin' Engineers enter Wednesday's match with a 3-5 overall record. Rose-Hulman recently completed a successful weekend at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational, winning three of its four matches.
On Friday September 9, Rose-Hulman defeated William Woods and Simpson both by socres of 3-0. On Saturday September 10 the Fightin' Engineers defeated Benedictine 3-0 and narrowly fell to Coe in their final match 3-2.
Junior libero Gabi Razma was recently named HCAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week on September 12. She currently leads the team in digs with 145 and in digs per set with 5.18.
St. Mary-of-the-Woods enters the matchup with a 1-7 overall record. The matchup is the second ever meeting between Rose-Hulman and St. Mary-of-the-Woods, with the Fightin' Engineers winning in three sets last season.
