WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. -- After falling behind early against Webster, the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team rallied for a 2-1 victory on Thursday night.
The Gorlocks scored just 43 seconds in to the contest to take an early 1-0 lead. Rose-Hulman tied the game up in the 35th minute. Corie Ewoldt scored on a corner kick delivery from Jillian Caffrey.
Early in the second half, a goal by Lauren London gave the Fightin' Engineers a 2-1 lead, courtesy of a pass from Desiree Bell. The Rose-Hulman defense held tough the remainder of the contest.
The win pushes Rose-Hulman's record in 2016 to 4-2.
The Fightin' Engineers will play again this coming Saturday September 17 at Millikin University. Game time is set for 5 P.M. CT.
