TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team returns home to face archrival DePauw University on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Hulbert Arena.
The Fightin' Engineers are 7-9 overall after falling to two of the top teams in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in Augustana and Millikin on Saturday. Rose-Hulman had won its two previous matches against Trine and Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Manchester prior to Saturday.
DePauw has a record of 12-3 and is receiving votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association weekly top 25 poll. The Tigers defeated Rose-Hulman earlier this season at the Washington UniversitY Invitational on Sept. 3.
Bailey MacInnis leads the Rose-Hulman offense with 128 kills, and Becca Poppel has contributed 100. Two players are over 200 assists, led by Alison Rogozinski (277) and Katie Orbeta (206). Junior Gabi Razma has a team-high 291 digs, and Emily McLendon leads the Fightin' Engineers with 68 total blocks.
After Thursday's match, Rose-Hulman will hit the road for Mount St. Joseph on Sunday afternoon.
