Game Recap: Men's Swimming and Diving |

#23 Rose-Hulman Men's Swim-Dive Tops #11 DePauw

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- No. 23 ranked Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won seven events to top No. 11 ranked DePauw University 156-140 in men's swimming and diving action on Friday night at the Sports & Recreation Center Natatorium.

Rose-Hulman's performance was led by two swimmers with two individual first-place finishes.  Pierce Bartine won the 50-freestyle (21.20) and 100-butterfly (50.76), while Cam Gill took top honors in the 100-freestyle (47.66) and the 100-backstroke (53.55).

Other individual winners included Matt Schulstad in the 200-butterfly (1:59.19) and Garrett Beauprez in the 200-backstroke (2:00.00).

The 400-freestyle relay team capped the evening with a victory to clinch the meet victory.  Bartine, Tyler Sariscsany, Gill and Nate Weber earned first-place honors in a time of 3:08.97.

The men's senior class of five completed their career with a perfect dual meet record in the Rose-Hulman Natatorium with Friday night's win.  Rose-Hulman also defeated DePauw for the third consecutive year for the first time in the program's 26-year history.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Invitational at Franklin Community High School next Saturday.
