TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team will look to win its third consecutive game this Saturday when the Fightin' Engineers host the Carroll Pioneers. Kickoff on September 9 is set for 1 p.m. at Intramural Field.

* Rose-Hulman stands at 2-1-0 on the young season. The Fightin' Engineers have won back-to-back games, defeating North Central (Ill.) 1-0 in double overtime last Saturday, and defeating Greenville University 1-0 on Tuesday in the 2017 home opener.
* Junior Will McGowen scored in the 76th on Tuesday night to lift RHIT past Greenville. Sophomore Cobi Illian assisted on the McGowen goal.
* Senior goalie Michael Lawrence collected four saves in Tuesday's game, including a pair of acrobatic saves late in the second half that helped preserve the shutout.
The Opposition: Carroll (Wis.) University Pioneers (0-3-0)
* Carroll is 0-3-0 in 2017. The Pioneers dropped a pair of contests at Catholic University of America during Labor Weekend; falling to Catholic 2-1, and York College (Pa.) 4-2.
* On September 6, the Pioneers fell in their home opener to Wisconsin Lutheran College by a final score of 2-1.
* Four different Pioneers have scored a goal this season. Peanut Taylor and Austin Schulze lead the team with three points apiece.
