TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The rose-Hulman men's tennis team started the 2018 season off on the right foot, earning a 9-0 win over the Principia Panthers on Saturday afternoon in the Terre Haute Tennis Bubble.
Ian Landwehr and Austin Perry won 8-3 at the No. 1 Doubles position. Cam Metzger and Andre Adam teamed up for an 8-1 win at the No. 2 doubles position. Brendan Goldacker and Andrew Schiffman won 8-2 at No. 3 Doubles.
On the singles side, Ian Landwehr won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Cam Metzger and Andre Adam won 6-1, 6-1 and 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 and No. 3 Singles respectively. Austin Perry added another win at the No. 4 singles position, 6-3, 6-4. Andrew Schiffman won 6-2, 6-3 at the fifth singles slot and Brendan Goldacker claimed a 6-2, 6-1 win at the sixth singles position.
Rose-Hulman (1-0) will play at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday February 24 at 10 a.m.
