GREENVILLE, Ill. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology battled Greenville College in a tight pitching duel before falling 4-0 in non-conference baseball action on Thursday night.
Freshman Jacob Petrisko led the Fightin' Engineers with a strong five-inning performance on the mound. Petrisko allowed just three hits with two strikeouts in the contest.
Offensively, Rose-Hulman had five hits on the day. Luke Calabrese, Zach Donnelly, Davis Robeson and Ryan Stachowski each had a single in the contest.
Travis Ralls had three hits to pace the Greenville offense. Jesse Getz added a double and a triple for the Panthers. Sam Alender tossed a complete-game five-hitter with seven strikeouts to pick up the win.
Greenville improved to 17-17, while Rose-Hulman stands 13-21. The Fightin' Engineers travel to Bluffton University for a doubleheader on Saturday.
