TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- Rose-Hulman men's soccer was defeated in a highly contested match against Ohio Northern with a final score of 2-0. This loss drops the Engineers to 2-4-1 on the season.
The Polar Bears were able to get on the board in the seventh minute to take the early lead over the Engineers 1-0. Rose-Hulman struggled to get any scoring opportunities as they were out-shot in the first half 5-1. Ohio Northern would hold their lead going into halftime 1-0.
Ohio Northern was able to extend their lead with a goal in the 49th minute to go ahead 2-0 over Rose-Hulman. The Polar Bears were able to hold off the Engineers attack and come away with a win with a final of 2-0. This drops the Engineers to 2-4-1 overall.
Goalie Pascal Schlee was able to come away with 1 save after 3 shots on goal. The Fightin' Engineers will look forward to face Fontbonne University on Tuesday, 9/25 at 7:00 PM CT.
