GREENVILLE, Ill. -- Greenville College snapped a scoreless tie with the lone goal of the match 5:59 into the first overtime to top Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 1-0 in men's soccer action on Tuesday night.
Jared McPeek provided the winning score unassisted at 95:59 to move the Panthers to 2-1 on the season. Rose-Hulman now stands 1-1.
The tightly contested match featured six shots for Rose-Hulman, compared to nine for Greenville. Pascal Schlee made three saves for Rose-Hulman and six Fightin' Engineers had one shot each.
Rose-Hulman has allowed just one score in its two matches so far this season and returns to action on Saturday in the home opener against Thomas More on Saturday at 2 p.m.
