TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will host Anderson University on Wednesday, 10/16 at 7:00 PM. It is the Engineers Faculty Appreciation Night were the students take the time to thank and recognize the faculty here at Rose-Hulman for their help and dedication.
RHIT NEWS & NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman has won six consecutive matches to improve to 11-12 overall and 3-0 in HCAC play.
* The Engineers were able to defeat the Defiance Yellow Jackets in their last match on Saturday with a final score of 3-2.
* Katryna Dahlberg has earned three consecutive HCAC Player of the Week Awards earlier this season.
* Dahlberg leads the HCAC with 6.40 digs per set and 550 total digs this season.
* This ranks her second in total digs and seventh in digs per set in NCAA Division III.
* Katie Orbeta ranks 3rd in school history with 2,646 assists.
* Elizabeth Canon leads the team with 232 kills. Riley Woodruff (168), Orbeta (144), and Maria Bruner (102) are also over the 100-kill mark.
* Orbeta has a team-high 487 assists, and Eryn Castaneda has added 319 assists and a team-high 43 service aces.
* Woodruff leads the team with 65 blocks this season followed by Bruner with 63 blocks.
MEET THE OPPOSITION:
* Anderson stands at 7-12 overall and 1-2 in the HCAC after falling to Franklin with a final score of 3-0.
* Olivia Rice (139), Felicity Bontrager (131), Emily Hale (113), and Jimena Montano (111) have surpassed 100 kills so far this season.
* Brooke Troyer leads the team with 304 total digs and 4.68 digs per set this season.
