TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team hits the road for Earlham College and a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup on Wednesday night.
RHIT NEWS & NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman needs two wins this week to secure the No. 2 seed for the HCAC Tournament that begins on Nov. 6.
* Rose-Hulman has won eight of 10 matches to move to 13-14 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
* Elizabeth Canon leads the team with 269 kills. Riley Woodruff has added 199, and Katie Orbeta ranks third on the team with 163.
* Orbeta ranks No. 3 in Rose-Hulman with 2,731 career assists.
* Katryna Dahlberg has been named HCAC Defensive Player of hte Week three times this season. She leads the HCAC in digs (634) and digs per set (6.47).
* Eryn Castaneda leads the team in service aces with 47 and has added 364 assists.
* Maria Bruner has a team-high 76 blocks, and Woodruff has tallied 67 blocks.
EARLHAM NEWS & NOTES:
* Earlham stands 16-8 overall and 4-3 in HCAC play entering Wednesday's matchup against the Engineers.
* Caroline Mulvihill (283 kills), Sarah Dickman (235) and Julia Stewart (221) are over 200 kills each for Earlham.
* Lauren Jackson has a team-high 799 assists, and Sydney Ameluxen leads the team with 361 digs.
