CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology extended its men's tennis winning streak to six matches with an 8-1 victory at Wabash College on Wednesday afternoon.
Rose-Hulman swept all six singles matches in the victory. Winners included Ian Landwehr by a 6-4, 6-0 count at No. 1; Andre Adam with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2; and Austin Perry by a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-6) margin at No. 3.
Joseph Conrad won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 singles; Josh Giambattista earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 5; and Grant Stamper won 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 6 flight.
In doubles play, Landwehr and Perry picked up an 8-0 victory at the No. 2 position. Conrad teamed with Ben Strate for an 8-5 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Rose-Hulman has improved to 7-9 overall and leads the HCAC at 3-0 in league play after facing one of the nation's toughest non-conference schedules in February and March. Wabash stands 8-10 overall. The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Thursday at Anderson University.
