TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Fightin' Engineer volleyball team will host the 2019 Rose-Hulman Volleyball Tri-Match on Saturday at Hulbert Arena.
RHIT NEWS & NOTES:
* The Rose-Hulman Tri-Match features three Midwest teams playing in a total of three contests at Hulbert Arena.
* Katryna Dahlberg is the reigning HCAC Defensive Player of the Week after her performance in four matches last week.
* Dahlberg averaged 8.38 digs per set, highlighted by a 42-dig performance against Webster that ranks third in Rose-Hulman single-game history.
* Katie Orbeta ranks 3rd in school history with 2,494 career assists. Orbeta moved into third place all-time during the DePauw match this season.
* Elizabeth Canon leads the team with 149 kills so far this season. Riley Woodruff is second with 116 kills, followed by Orbeta with 85.
* Orbeta (335) and Eryn Castaneda (201) lead the team in assists.
* Dahlberg leads the HCAC in digs (381) and digs per set (6.25).
* Block leaders include Maria Bruner with 47 and Woodruff with 46.
MEET THE OPPOSITION:
* Illinois Tech is 2-7 entering its Friday night match at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.
* Trine is 9-5 and travels to Olivet Friday before heading to Rose-Hulman on Saturday.
