Women's Soccer Improves to 2-0 with 2nd Straight Shutout

ELSAH, Ill. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 3-0 road victory at Principia College on Tuesday night.

The Fightin' Engineers scored all three goals in the first half and recorded their second consecutive shutout defensively to pick up the win.

Jessica Wells started the scoring with a goal at 19:04 of the first half.  Maddy Twetten provided the assist.

The lead reached 2-0 at the 23:36 mark on a score by Katrina Agustin.  Wells picked up the assist.

Right before halftime, the Fightin' Engineers increased the lead to 3-0 on a score by Rachael Enrici.  Cora Arnold was credited with the assist.

Rose-Hulman outshot Principia 24-8 in the contest.  Natalie Dillon and Katie Demert combined for five saves in the defensive shutout.  Twetten paced the Fightin' Engineer offense with seven shots, including four shots on goal.

Rose-Hulman improved to 2-0 on the season and returns to action at perennial power the University of Chicago on Sunday at 3 p.m. Central Time.
