Men's Basketball Senior Day Set for Saturday at 3 PM

TERRE HAUTE, Ind -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hosts Mount St. Joseph on Senior Day for four members of the men's basketball program on Saturday at 3 pm.

Senior Day News and Notes:

  • Today is the final weekend home game for 4 members of the men's basketball team:
  • Eli Combs: An electrical engineering major from Bloomfield, Indiana, Eli has scored 448 points in 92 games at Rose-Hulman.  He also has 234 career rebounds, 40 assists and 20 blocked shots.
  • John Czarnecki: A mechanical engineering major from Bettendorf, Iowa, John has scored 931 points with 525 rebounds and 74 assists.  He has appeared in 97 games with 74 starts at RHIT.
  • Michael Lake: An optical engineering major from Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael has scored 362 points with 131 rebounds and 114 assists at RHIT.  He has appeared in 87 career games with 30 starts.
  • David Saadatnezhadi: A mathematics major from San Rafael, California, David has appeared in 16 varsity games at RHIT with 25 career points.

Rose-Hulman (8-9, 5-5 HCAC) News & Notes:

  • Craig McGee leads Rose-Hulman in scoring (18.2 ppg), rebounds (8.6 rpg), assists (6.9 apg) and steals (1.3 spg).  McGee has 991 career points and ranks No. 3 in Rose-Hulman history with 391 career assists.
  • Craig McGee leads the HCAC in assists (6.9 apg) and ranks No. 2 in the league in scoring (18.2 ppg) and rebounding (8.6 rpg).
  • Rose-Hulman has six players scoring more than five points per game.  After McGee, John Czarnecki (9.2 ppg), Eli Combs (8.7 ppg), Trey Wurtz (6.8 ppg) and Michael Lake (6.6 ppg) have provided scoring depth.
  • Head coach Rusty Loyd enters contest with a career record of 89-62.  Loyd has led Rose-Hulman to one regular season confrence title and two appearances in the HCAC Tournament Championship Game.
  • After Saturday's game, Rose-Hulman travels to Anderson on Wednesday night.

Mt. St. Joseph (4-14, 2-9 HCAC) News & Notes:

  • The Lions were defeated in their last contest against the Hanover Panthers with a final of 60-43.
  • Brady Thomas is the teams leading scorer with 15.4 points per game this season.
  • After facing the Engineers, the team will host Bluffton University on Wednesday, 2/1 at 7:30 pm.
