Men's Basketball Travels to Anderson on Wednesday Night

TERRE HAUTE, Ind -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hits the road for Anderson University on Wednesday at 7:30 pm in an in-state men's basketball road matchup.

Rose-Hulman (10-9, 7-5 HCAC) News & Notes:

  • Rose-Hulman enters a key HCAC matchup with Anderson on a 3-game winning streak, including victories over Bluffton, Manchester and Mount St. Joseph.
  • Craig McGee became the 31st men's basketball player in Rose-Hulman history to cross the 1,000-point mark in a career.  McGee has 1,003 points and ranks No. 3 in RHIT history with 396 assists.
  • McGee ranks No. 2 in the HCAC in scoring (17.8 ppg) and rebounding (8.4 rpg), and is No. 1 in the conference in assists (6.8 apg).
  • McGee has crossed the 20-point mark in a game on 10 occasions this season.
  • Eli Combs recorded a senior day double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday's win over Mount St. Joseph.
  • John Czarnecki has crossed the 900-point mark in his career (937) and has two double-doubles this season.
  • Head coach Rusty Loyd enters contest with a career record of 90-62.  Loyd has led Rose-Hulman to one regular season confrence title and two appearances in the HCAC Tournament Championship Game.
  • After Wednesday's game, Rose-Hulman travels to Transylvania for a 3 pm contest on Saturday.

Anderson (10-9, 7-5 HCAC) News & Notes:

  • Anderson has won 2 straight games (Defiance and Earlham) to jump into a tie in the HCAC standings with Rose-Hulman for 4th place.
  • Anderson won the first meeting this season between the two schools 70-62 at Hulbert Arena on Jan. 15.
  • Maurice Knight leads the HCAC in scoring at 19.9 points per game.  Malik Laffoon (14.4) ranks second on the team in scoring.
