Men's Basketball Travels to Face Transylvania Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will go on the road to take on the Transylvania Pioneers on Saturday, 2/8 at 3 pm.

Rose-Hulman (11-9, 8-5 HCAC) News & Notes:

  • Rose-Hulman enters a key HCAC matchup with Transylvania on a 4-game winning streak, including victories over Bluffton, Manchester, Mount St. Joseph, and Anderson.
  • Craig McGee became the 31st men's basketball player in Rose-Hulman history to cross the 1,000-point mark in a career.  McGee has 1,020 points and ranks No. 3 in RHIT history with 406 assists.
  • McGee ranks No. 2 in the HCAC in scoring (17.8 ppg) and rebounding (8.4 rpg), and is No. 1 in the conference in assists (7.0 apg).
  • McGee has crossed the 20-point mark in a game on 10 occasions this season.
  • Jacob Back recorded a career-high 16 points in the win over the Anderson Ravens on Wednesday night.
  • John Czarnecki has crossed the 900-point mark in his career (944) and has two double-doubles this season.
  • Head coach Rusty Loyd enters contest with a career record of 91-62.  Loyd has led Rose-Hulman to one regular season conference title and two appearances in the HCAC Tournament Championship Game.
  • After facing the Pioneers, Rose-Hulman will host Franklin College on Wednesday, 2/12 at 7:30 pm.

  • Transylvania is on a 6-game winning streak entering their matchup with the Engineers.
  • The Pioneers were able to earn a close win over the Engineers in their last meeting with a final score of 83-79.
  • Gabe Schmitt is the team's leading scorer averaging 17.6 points per game.
