Women's Swim-Dive Places 11th at Season Opening Indiana Intercollegiates

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology finished 11th in the season opening Indiana Intercollegiate women's swimming and diving meet against NCAA Division I, II and III competition at Purdue University on Saturday.

The team had five top-20 performances on the day.

The 200-medley relay team of Natalija Pumpurs, Lauren Meyer, Megan Howell and Therese Jaeger came home 18th in a time of 2:00.89.  The 200-freestyle team of Pumpurs, Cate Stuaffer, Riya Bharamaraddi and Jaeger placed 19th in 1:51.67.

1-meter diving helped Rose-Hulman record its remaining three top-20 finishes.  Audrey Hankins was 18th with 170.30 points; Chloe Koutsoumpas was 19th with 129.35; and Reilly Foote was 20th with 129.30.

Rose-Hulman returns to women's swimming and diving action at the Indiana Division III Meet at the Wabash Valley Aquatic Center next Saturday.
