Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer improved to 2-0 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and 5-4-1 on the year in a 2-0 win against Earlham College.
The victory marked Rose-Hulman's first shutout of the 2021 season, led by 2 saves from
Evan Hofer.
The match was scoreless at the halftime break before
Takezo Kelly scored the first goal in the 55th minute;
Julius Salinas provided the assist.Â
Tyler Eldridge found the back of the net for the second and final goal of the game in the 65th minute. Kelly now has seven goals on the season and Eldridge totals two.
The Fightin' Engineers outshot the Quakers 33-6, led by Eldridge with 9 shots and Kelly with 5. Â
Rose-Hulman returns to action this Wednesday, October 6 at home against Franklin College at 7pm, followed by hosting Defiance College on Saturday, October 9 for Homecoming weekend.
