TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team will host its third Cancer Research Game on Saturday at 2 pm against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Bluffton University.
All proceeds from the Cancer Research Game will benefit the Dan L. Duncan Foundation at the Baylor College of Medicine. The Duncan Cancer Center includes the No. 1 ranked genetics program in the country, with a goal of personalized medicine. The Duncan Cancer Center offers cutting-edge, research-based treatment options such as using patient's own genetic makeup to generate solutions.
Fans will be able to donate through cash donations; purchasing an event T-shirt; or participating in other fundraising events at Saturday's match.
ROSE-HULMAN (10-14, 1-5 HCAC) NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands 1-5 in HCAC play and 10-14 overall entering Sunday's home match.

Sophia Koop snapped a 25-year old school record with 28 kills in the 5-set win over Webster on Sept. 21.

Kylie Rathbun was named HCAC Defensive Player of the Week after recording 101 digs over a 5-match week in late September.
* Five players have over 100 kills this season - led by
Elizabeth Canon (282) and Koop (275).

Jillian Gregg (498) and
Sophia Harrison (381) lead the team in assists. Koop has a team-high 45 service aces, followed by Harrison at 38.
* Rathbun has a team-high 443 digs, followed by Koop at 286.

Allie Fults has a team-high 84 blocks and also leads the team in hitting percentage at .231.

* Bluffton stands 9-16 overall and 1-5 in HCAC play.
* Leaders for Bluffton include Cassidy Posey wtih 245 kills; Maddie White with 514 assists; and Brooke Kleman with 489 digs.
