NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team combined for four match victories at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Invitational on Saturday at Top Seed Tennis Club.
Rose-Hulman went 2-1 in doubles action against Transylvania University to highlight the day.Â
Hart Howard and
Joseph Conrad won by an 8-2 score at No. 1 doubles, and
Grant Stamper and
Mark Slaninka won 8-3 at the No. 3 flight.
In singles play, Hanover won four of six singles matches against Rose-Hulman in a tightly contested group of contests. Five of the six matches went the full three-set distance.
Joshua Giambattista picked up a 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) win at No. 1 singles, and Conrad won 4-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-6) at the No. 3 singles flight.
Rose-Hulman is scheduled to open the men's tennis regular season at Millikin University on March 13.
