TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won its 2020-21 men's tennis opener with an 8-1 victory at Millikin University on Saturday afternoon.
The Fightin' Engineers opened the match by sweeping the three doubles matches.
Joseph Conrad and
Hart Howard won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.
Joshua Giambattista and
Rhian Seneviratne picked up an 8-6 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Mark Slaninka and
Grant Stamper won 8-1 at the No. 3 doubles flight.
In singles play, winners included Giambattista at No. 1 singles; Stamper at No. 2; Conrad at No. 3; Howard at No. 4; and
Arudrra Krishnan at No. 6.
Rose-Hulman stands 1-0 on the season, while Millikin dropped to 1-4. The Fightin' Engineers return to action at Manchester University to open HCAC play next Saturday.
