NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team combined for six match victories at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Invitational on Saturday at Top Seed Tennis Club.
Rose-Hulman went 3-3 in singles play and 3-3 in doubles play on the afternoon.
In singles play against Transylvania,Â
Fanny-Jane Banda picked up a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles.Â
Taylor Goldman had the dramatic win on the day, picking up a 7-6, 4-6, 1-0 (12-10) win at No. 2 singles.Â
Krista Manche completed the victories with a 6-2, 6-0 win at the No. 6 singles flight.
In doubles action, Rose-Hulman swept Anderson in three doubles matches.Â
Breanna Rogers and Goldman won at No. 1 doubles;
Fanny-Jane Banda and
Ella Dorfmueller won at No. 2 doubles; and
Hannah Snider and
Ruby Kauffman won at No. 3 doubles.
Rose-Hulman is scheduled to open the women's tennis regular season at DePauw University on Feb. 20.
