HANOVER, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team traveled to Hanover College for a tightly contested 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 loss on Saturday.
Sophia Koop lead the Fightin' Engineers with 12 points and 11 kills.
Katryna Dahlberg contributed 14 digs to help the team keep competitive.
Kylie Rathbun made a team-high 11 assists, and
Sophia Harrison had 9 for Rose-Hulman. Rathbun and
Elizabeth Canon both contributed 6 points to the effort.
All three sets were a close battle, with Hanover narrowly coming out on top in each. In the first set Rose-Hulman and Hanover competed for the lead until Hanover won the last four points to take the win. The second and third sets were both highly competitive, with Hanover winning the final three points of the match. The Rose-Hulman volleyball record is now 2-5, while Hanover improved to 9-4.
The RHIT volleyball team returns to action at home against Earlham on Tuesday, February 16.
