RICHMOND, In. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team picked up a road win on the final day of the regular season 54-47 on Sunday against the Earlham Quakers.
Nola Wilson led the team with 12 points. Both
Ashley Black and
Mira Randolph contributed 11 points each to help the Fightin' Engineers take the win. Black and Randolph also both went 100% at the free throw line.Â
Kahlan Jester and
Jordan Barlow each contributed seven points for Rose-Hulman.Â
Rose Burnham added five points and a team-high 10 rebounds for the Fightin' Engineers.
Kayla Bowling led the Earlham Quakers with 16 points.
Rose-Hulman started the game with lead and ended the first quarter 7 points ahead of Earlham at 15-8. Rose-Hulman extended their lead at the beginning of the second quarter, leading by 10 points at 30-20 at halftime.  Earlham closed to within six points at 51-45, before one free throw from Burnham and two free throws by Black gave the Engineers the points they needed to secure the win.Â
Rose-Hulman (2-5) awaits the results of a random draw at 8 pm tonight to know its placement in the HCAC Tournament bracket. The HCAC Tournament begins the weekend of Feb. 27 and continues through March 10.
