NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis opened the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule with a 9-0 victory at Manchester University on Saturday afternoon.
The Fightin' Engineers lost just three games in the final five singles flights in a strong team performance.
Singles winners included 
Fanny-Jane Banda at No. 1; 
Taylor Goldman at No. 2; 
Breanna Rogers at No. 3; 
Krista Manche at No. 4; 
Hannah Snider at No. 5; and 
Ella Dorfmueller at No. 6.
In doubles play, the team of Rogers and Goldman won 8-1 at the No. 1 position.  Banda and 
Ruby Kauffman won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.  
Emma Goodman and 
Julia McGuire combined for an 8-0 victory at the No. 3 flight. 
Rose-Hulman stands 1-1 on the season, while Manchester dropped to 0-7.  The Fightin' Engineers host Anderson next Saturday.
