Women's Soccer Headed to Hanover on Sunday for HCAC Title Game

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will compete in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament Championship Game on Sunday April 11 at Hanover College.

The Fightin' Engineers earned the No. 2 seed for the HCAC postseason after finishing with a 7-1 record.  Rose-Hulman recorded seven shutouts, and the team's only loss was in overtime and undefeated Hanover in March.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* This marks the second straight year that Rose-Hulman and Hanover have faced off in the HCAC Women's Soccer Championship Game.
* Rose-Hulman looks to defend its fall 2019 HCAC title after defeating the Panthers 1-0 at home in the championship game last season.
* Rose-Hulman completed the regular season with a 7-1 record and has outscored the opposition 23-2 this spring.
* Lane Lawrence leads the Rose-Hulman offense with 4 goals and 14 points.
* Sarah Shoemaker has a team-high 8 assists and tallied 12 points this season.
* Elle Vuotto also has double-figure points with 3 goals and 4 assists for 10 points.
* Mariah Mufich and Maggie Sheerin have each scored 3 goals this season.
* The defensive back row has included the same starting four players all season - Megan Foder, Grace Hobson, Kiley McKee, and Christina Rogers.
* Natalie Dillon has a 6-1 record, a 0.24 goals against average, 38 saves and a .950 save percentage in her first year as a starter.

HANOVER NOTES:
* Hanover finished a perfect 8-0 this season and outscored the opposition 31-2.
* Maggie Day led the Panther offense with 8 goals and 17 points.
* Jostin Reeves added 6 goals and 15 points, and Kelsey Hughes has scored 5 goals this season for Hanover.
* The Panthers have had 4 goalkeepers combine to allow just 2 goals in 2020-21.
* Maggie Hinegardner has seen the majority of the time in net with a 6-0 record, a 0.23 goals against average, 10 saves and a .909 save percentage.
