TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball program announces its 2021-22 recruiting class of two talented newcomers, both coming to Rose-Hulman from the state of California.
Below are the accomplishments of the two new members of the Fightin' Engineer women's program, under the direction of head coach
Jon Prevo.
JAMIE BAUM
5-11 Guard
Los Altos, Calif. (Los Altos)
* Two-sport athlete in basketball and baseball at Los Altos H.S. in California
* First female baseball player in the history of Los Altos H.S.
* Four-time first-team all-conference honoree in basketball
* Chosen Los Altos High School Athlete of the Year all four years in her career
* Career totals: 1,246 points, 563 rebounds, 157 blocked shots, 138 assists, 134 steals
* Averaged 16.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.8 blocks, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game as a senior in 2020-21
* Scholar-Athlete Award for earning a 4.0 Grade Point Average while competing in athletics
* Outstanding Achievement Award in the class Acting I
* Expected major: Civil Engineering
ROWAN HEIN
5-11 Guard
Fresno, Calif. (Clovis North / University of Denver)
* Adidas All-American selection
* California Sophomore of the Year in 2018
* First-team all-state for three straight years
* Player of the Game in the Valley Championship Game for two straight years
* Holds career, single-season and single-game school records for assists
* Had over 600 career assists, including a single-game school record of 11 assists
* Averaged 14.5 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in her career
* Scored 1,639 career points and led program to its first and only league title.
* Played at NCAA Division I University of Denver as a freshman in 2020-21
* Appeared in 19 games with four starts at Denver
* Hit two free throws with 3.5 seconds left to lead Denver past Colorado 85-84, marking the team's first win over a Power Five school since 2012
* Team leader of design for Robotics
* Volunteer with Unified Sports
* Expected major: Biomedical Engineering
