TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology football team opens the 2021 season at home against Wabash College on Saturday at 7 pm. The game is both Rose-Hulman Night and Old National Bank Night, with T-shirts offered to a limited number of students while they last.
TICKET INFORMATION:
* Rose-Hulman parents may pick up their season tickets in the SRC lobby from 4-7 pm. Print/show on your mobile device the official correspondence from Coach Sokol or admittance to pick up the passes.
* Rose-Hulman students, faculty and staff are admitted FREE with ID.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman compiled a 4-1 record and finish as the HCAC runner-up during the 2020-21 spring season.
* Two Rose-Hulman players have been selected preseason All-Americans.Â

Shane Welshans has been named a first-team Preseason All-American by College Football America; second-team by Lindy's Football Magazine; and third-team by D3football.com. Â Welshans was a second-team D3football.com All-American in 2020-21 after leading the team with 681 rushing yards, five rushing touchdowns and five receiving touchdowns last spring.

Michael Stevens was also named a first-team Preseason All-American by College Football America; and second-team by Lindy's Football Magazine. Â Stevens led Rose-Hulman with 51 tackles, 2 interceptions and 1 interception return for a touchdown last spring.

Andrew Dion enters the season ranked No. 2 in school history in career touchdown passes (62); No. 3 in passing yards (6,579); and No. 5 in pass completions (494)...RHIT returns home Oct. 9 vs. Hanover in the 2021 Homecoming Game.
WABASH NOTES:
* Wabash returns to the gridiron for the first time since falling 51-15 at North Central in Round One of the NCAA Division III Football Playoffs since 2019. The Little Giants finished 7-4 that season.
* Both the starting quarterback (Liam Thompson) and top statistical wide receiver (Cooper Sullivan) are back from the 2019 team to lead the offense.
* Returnees on defense are led by the 2019 team leader in sacks and tackles-for-loss (Seth Buresh) and fumble recoveries (Jose Franco).
