Women's Swim-Dive Earns 12 Top-Two Finishes in Loss at Transylvania

MEET RESULTS

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's swimming and diving team capped the regular season with 12 top-two finishes in a 190-87 loss at Transylvania University on Saturday.

Event winners included Natalija Pumpurs in the 200-backstroke in a time of 2:21.84 and Cate Stauffer in the 1000-freestyle with a time of 11:53.09.

Lauren Meyer led the second-place performances with three runner-up efforts.  Meyer was second in the 100-breaststroke (1:15.44), 200 individual medley (2:29.72) and in the 200-breaststroke (2:50.93).

Audrey Hankins and Tori Kinnamon also had a pair of runner-up finishes.  Hankins was second in both 1-meter (194.85) and 3-meter (182.40) diving, while Kinnamon was second in both the 500 (5:56.11) and 1000 (12:09.93) freestyle events.

Other second-place finishers included Riya Bharamaraddi in the 100-butterfly (1:13.88) and Brooke Covert in the 200-freestyle (2:15.08).

The 200-medley relay team of Pumpurs, Meyer, Megan Howell and Therese Jaeger also came home 2nd in 2:03.41.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships at the Vigo County Aquatic Center on Feb. 10-12.
