SENIOR DAY BEGINS AT 1:10 PM - KICKOFF AT 1:30 PM

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology football team hosts Defiance College in the Senior Day Game on Saturday at 1:30 pm.  Senior Day festivities will take place prior to kickoff at 1:10 pm.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman and Defiance meet in the 2022 Senior Day home game at Cook Stadium.  Senior Day festivities take place at 1:10 pm, with kickoff set for 1:30 pm.  
* Rose-Hulman will honor 19 seniors prior to kickoff: Winston Amankwah, Kyzer Bowen, Rashard Brown, Deven Cobb, Peter Cross, Desmond Dunson, Alex Gresock, Payton Gryniewicz, John Hruska (Graduate Student), Zakery Koehler, Tyce Miller, Jacob Nana Fabu, Riley Roberts, Justin Sands, Lance Shelton, Tyler Smith, Chaikou Sow, Adam Tice-Saliu, and Andrew Walkowski.
* Rose-Hulman continues its defense of its 2021 HCAC championship today against Defiance. The Fightin' Engineers have won 13 consecutive games against HCAC competition dating to the spring season in 2021.
* Jeff Sokol has a career record of 67-20 against HCAC competition,  including 20-3 since the start of the 2019 season.
* Jailen Hobbs has won HCAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for two consecutive weeks. He returned an 89-yard kickoff for a touchdown at Bluffton and set a school record with 5 punt returns for 148 yards and a touchdown against Franklin.
* Hobbs, who currently holds the RHIT career school record for punt return average (14.8 ypr) also has 30 receptions for 389 yards and 6 touchdowns this season.
* Miguel Robertson has passed for 1436 yards and 17 touchdowns to lead the Rose-Hulman offense this season.
* Daniel Huery leads the team with 600 receiving yards on 518 receptions with 6 TDs.  Adam Tice-Saliu has added 31 catches for 482 yards and 6 touchdowns, and Jailen Hobbs has added 30 receptions and 6 touchdowns.
* The defense has been led by Kyzer Bowen with 59 tackles, 1 sack and 1 blocked kick.
* Tyce Miller has a team-high 5 interceptions after snagging 2 interceptions at Bluffton.
* Riley Roberts scored pick-six interception returns in consecutive games vs. Bluffton and Franklin.
* The kicking game has also been strong in 2022.  Kyle Rehberg is 5-9 on field goals and 30-32 on extra points; Andrew Toler averages 43.7 yards per punt; and Connor Whitesell has boomed 13 touchbacks on kickoffs this year.

DEFIANCE NOTES:
* Defiance picked up its first victory and head coach Bill Nickell earned his first career win in a 32-22 victory over Anderson last week.
* Tyshaun Freeman led Defiance with 144 rushing yards and 1 touchdown, and Jordan Ambrose passed for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.  
* Tawann Rome added 4 receptions for 63 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Thomas Coltrain had a team-high 9 tackles.
* Ambrose has passed for 948 yards and 9 touchdowns, Freeman has rushed for 583 yards, and Rome has 470 receiving yards on 24 catches and 8 touchdowns to lead the Defiance effort.
