TERRE HAUTE, Indiana -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team opens the 2022 HCAC Tournament with a first round home game against Hanover at 7:00 PM.  The Fightin' Engineers are looking to win the HCAC Tournament and make the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 13-11 and 5-4 in HCAC play entering Wednesday's match as the #4 seed.
* Rose-Hulman is 5-2 at home this season with their losses coming to the top 2 seeds in the HCAC.
* Allie Fults (207), Megan Korte (196), and Sophia Koop (192) lead the team in kills.
* Sophia Harrison leads the team in assists with 457, and Jillian Gregg has added 402.
* Harrison leads the team in service aces with 61, and Koop also has 43 service aces on the season.
* Lily Ebright - three-time HCAC Defensive Player of the Week this season - leads Rose-Hulman with 510digs. She is averaging 5.73 digs per set on the season.
* Fults also leads the Rose-Hulman defense with 74 blocks this season.
* With a win, the Fightin' Engineers will advance to the semifinal round. The semifinals and finals take place at Transylvania University on November 5th and 6th.

HANOVER NOTES:
* Hanover stands 13-13 and 4-5 in HCAC play entering the team's final regular season home match.
* Hanover is 4-4 away from home this season.
* CC Shick has a team-high 233 kills this season.
* Aubrey Walton (455) and Maggie Schweitzer (361) lead the team in assists.  Walton also has a team-high 38 service aces.
* Molly Schwarzkopf has a team-high 95 blocks, and Casey Dunn leads Hanover with 466 digs.

SERIES NOTES:
* Hanover leads Rose-Hulman 21-12
* The Fightin' Engineers beat Hanover in four sets on Saturday.
* Hanover won the two prior meetings, including last season.
* Rose-Hulman won back-to-back years against Hanover in 2018 and 2019.
