TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team advanced to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal round with a 25-13, 28-26, 25-14 home victory over Hanover College on Wednesday night.
The Fightin' Engineers increased their winning streak to four matches with the straight-set win.Â
Sophia Koop led the offense with 12 kills.Â
Allie Fults added 8 kills and 6 blocks.
Jillian Gregg had a team-high 19 assists and also 5 blocks.Â
Sophia Harrison crossed the 1,000-assist mark over a career with 12 assists.
Lily Ebright, named HCAC Defensive Player of the Year earlier this week, led the defense with 24 digs and also had a team-high 3 service aces.
Kylie Rathbun added 17 digs and
Jillian Gregg contributed 11 digs to a strong overall defensive team performance. Casey Dunn led the Hanover numbers with 21 digs.
Rose-Hulman (14-11) travels to No. 18 ranked and top-seeded Transylvania University (23-5) for the HCAC Semifinal Round on Saturday at 2 pm in Lexington.
