TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team continues the 2022-23 season with a weekend with the Midwest Challenge at DePauw in Greencastle, Indiana. 

ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman enters the Midwest Challenge with its first 2-0 start to a season since the 2015-16 season.  The Fightin' Engineer held Penn State Altoona and Mount Aloysius to just 43.5 points per game in the wins. 
* Rose-Hulman finished 12-9 last season and 9-5 in HCAC play.  The Fightin' Engineers were picked to finish 4th in the HCAC this season, behind Transylvania, Hanover and Bluffton in the league's preseason poll. 
* All-conference standout Jamie Baum has a second sport interest.  The second-team all-HCAC women's basketball player led the Fightin' Engineers in scoring (12.7 ppg) and rebounding (6.9 rpg) on the court last winter.  In the summer, Baum is a member of the USA Baseball Women's National Team.  Baum was part of a team that finished 3-2 in Canada last summer. 
* Baum scored 21 points with a career-high 14 rebounds and 6 assists in Sunday's 55-40 win over Mount Aloysius.  Randolph scored a career-high 20 points in Saturday's 59-47 win over Penn State Altoona, and Wilson matched a career-high with 19 points in the win over Mount Aloysius. 
* Head coach Jon Prevo has crossed the 200-win mark at Rose-Hulman.  Prevo has a 211-186 record as the winningest coach in program history.
* Rose-Hulman has won 3 HCAC regular season championships (2016, 2017, 2018) and qualified for 2 NCAA Division III Tournaments (2017, 2018).

WASHU GAME NOTES:
* WashU stands a perfect 3-0 on the season with wins over Dubuque, Ohio Wesleyan and No. 14 ranked Millikin.
* Maya Arnott (17.7 ppg), Sammi Matoush (16.0 ppg) and Jessica Brooks (14.3 ppg) average double figures in scoring for WashU.
* WashU has won five NCAA Division III women's basketball national championships (1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2010) and has been the national runner-up four times.  

DEPAUW GAME NOTES:
* DePauw stands 2-2 on the season with wins over Bethany Lutheran and Dubuque.  The Tigers are ranked No. 24 nationally in the latest WBCA Top 25 poll released on Tuesday.
* Ava Hassel leads the Tigers in scoring at 16.3 points per game, and Riley Mont averages 10.3 points per contest.
* DePauw has won two NCAA Division III women's basketball national championships (2007, 2013)

ILLINOIS WESLEYAN GAME NOTES:
* Illinois Wesleyan has a 3-2 record with wins over Concordia-Wisconsin, Capital and Eureka.
* Five players average double figures in scoring for Illinois Wesleyan - Mallory Powers (17.0 ppg), Lauren Huber (15.6), Katelyn Heller (13.8), Kate Palmer (12.4) and Caite Knutson (10.0).
* Illinois Wesleyan won the 2012 NCAA Division III women's basketball national championship. 

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman has a 2-6 record in the Midwest Challenge, with one win over DePauw (2018) and one win over Illinois Wesleyan (2021).
* All-time records for Rose-Hulman against the Midwest Challenge teams: DePauw (1-27), Illinois Wesleyan (2-4), WashU (0-5).
