TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team hits the road for St. Louis to face Fontbonne University on Wednesday at 7 pm Central Time.

ROSE-HULMAN (2-3, 0-0 HCAC) GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman finished 15-10 last season and has been picked to finish third in the HCAC this season, according to the preseason coaches poll.
* Miles McGowen was named HCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week this week - after averaging 16.0 points and 14.5 rebounds per game in road games at Carthage and Albion.
* Max Chaplin has reached double figures in scoring during each game of the 2022-23 season, led by a 17-point performance in the win at Albion.
* A balanced scoring attack in the 71-65 win over Albion featured doublefigure scoring performances from Chaplin (17), Kobe Stoudemire (14), Willie Bowman (13) and Miles McGowen (10).
* Head coach Nick Sales is the new head coach for Rose-Hulman. Sales was an associate head coach at Marietta for the past nine seasons where he won seven OAC regular season championships, made three NCAA tournaments, and reached the NCAA Division III Final Four in 2022. Sales was 204-45 on staff at Marietta.
* Terry Hicks was named to the all-HCAC second team in 2021-22 after averaging 10.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per game last season.
* Max Chaplin was also named all-HCAC honorable mention in 2021-22 following his team-high 11.8 points per game.
* Rose-Hulman seeks its first HCAC regular season championship since 2018 and its first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance since 2014 this season

FONTBONNE (1-4, 0-0 SLIAC) GAME NOTES:
* Fontbonne stands 1-4 on the season highlighted by a 93-57 win over Moody Bible.
* The Griffins finished 17-7 last season and were 12-2 in SLIAC play.
* Caden Clark leads Fonbonne in scoring at 13.0 points per game.
* Will Sullentrop adds 10.8 points and a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game.

* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series 11-5
* Rose-Hulman has won 5 straight meetings, including the most recent game 83-57 on Nov. 20, 2018.
