TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team travels to Mount St. Joseph for a Saturday afternoon HCAC game at 2 PM.

ROSE-HULMAN (5-3, 2-0 HCAC) GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman enters Saturday's matchup on a 4-game winning streak, including wins over Albion, Fontbonne, Transylania and Earlham.
* Rose-Hulman retained the John Mutchner Cup for the 10th consecutive year with a 77-65 win at Earlham. The Cup is named in honor of the former Rose-Hulman men's basketball coach and athletic director who was a standout at Earlham and is a member of both Athletic Halls of Fame.
* Terry Hicks scored a career-high 21 points, and Kobe Stoudemire added a career-high 15 points to pace Rose-Hulman in Wednesday's win at Earlham.
* Miles McGowen was named HCAC Player of the Week after averaging 16.0 points and 14.5 rebounds in games at Carthage and Albion.
* Max Chaplin has reached double figures every time he has taken the court this season, highlighted by a 19-point effort in the Transylvania win
* Nick Sales is completing his first year at Rose-Hulman. Sales was associate head coach at Marietta for the past nine seasons where he won seven OAC regular season championships, made three NCAA tournaments, and reached the NCAA Division III Final Four in 2022. Sales was 204-45 on staff at Marietta.
* Rose-Hulman seeks its first HCAC regular season championship since 2018 and its first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance since 2014 this season.
* Rose-Hulman travels to Hanover on Wednesday, then hosts the team's Community Night Game with free admission on Tuesday Dec. 20 vs. Wabash.

MOUNT ST. JOSEPH (1-5, 0-1 HCAC) GAME NOTES:
* Mount St. Joseph sits at 1-5 on the season and 0-2 in the HCAC. The lone win for MSJ came in the Lauren Hill Tip-Off Classic against Muskingum.
* The Lions fell to Bluffton by 7 and Anderson by 2 in their first two HCAC games.
* Luke Collinsworth, a Cincinnati football transfer, leads Mount St. Joseph with 16.8 points and 5.6 rebounds this season.
* Freshman Kelvin Turner has also been very good with 15.5 points per game.
* Turner and Jack Kolar have been shooting lights out for the Lions this season.  They are a combined 28-71 from three this season which is 39%.
* Mount St. Joseph comes in averaging over 12 turnovers per game, and allowing opponents to average 7 steals per game. 
* The Lions next game will be on Wednesday, December 14 at Asbury.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series 18-16.
* Mount St. Joseph won the last meeting in January by a score of 69-57 behind a 27 point performance from Brady Thomas.
* The Fightin' Engineers had won eight consecutive games against the Lions going back to 2018.
* Prior to those eight wins, Mount St. Joseph won all 6 meetings from the 2015-16 season through 2017.
* The Lions are 9-7 on their home floor against the Fightin' Engineers.
