MEDIA GAME NOTES

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team travels to Defiance College at 3:30 pm on Saturday for a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup.

HCAC BASKETBALL NOTE:
* The HCAC announced a revised conference tournament procedure for the 2022 event.  For this year only, the HCAC Tournament will consist of 8 teams.  Quarterfinal games are Feb. 20; semifinal games are Feb. 25; and the final is set for Feb. 26.

ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman and Defiance meet for the second time this season after the Fightin' Engineers won 78-75 at Hulbert Arena on Jan. 15.
* Max Chaplin (13.4 ppg), Dillon Duff (10.8 ppg) and Terry Hicks (10.3 ppg) each average double-figures in scoring this year.
* Max Chaplin, Jackson Kabrick, Samvit Ram and Trey Wurtz have appeared in all 20 games so far this year.
* Rose-Hulman has a record of 11-1 when allowing 65 points or less.
* Bradley Harden scored 8 straight points early in the second half and had all 11 points in the final 20 minutes as the Fightin' Engineers defeated Manchester 71-60 on Wednesday.
* Rusty Loyd was named to the 2021-22 Silver Waves Media List of 50 Impactful Head Coach in NCAA Division III men's basketball. Loyd has a career record of 117-76 in his 8th year at RHIT.
* After Saturday's game, Rose-Hulman travels to Anderson University on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.

DEFIANCE GAME NOTES:
* Defiance stands 9-9 overall and 7-5 in HCAC play entering Saturday's game.
* Marell Jordan leads the Yellow Jackets offense at 17.9 points per contest.
* Tyler Andrew is another double-figure scorer at 10.6 points per game.
* Defiance has won 4 of its last 5 games to move into third place in the current HCAC standings.
