AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- Adam Taylor's big day propelled the Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers to 3-0 on the season and past the Saint Mary's (MN) Cardinals 8-5 on Monday. Taylor finished 4-for-6 and earned the save on the bump with two strikeouts.
The bullpen came up huge in the victory for Rose-Hulman (3-0). Korey Marlow (1-0) came out of the pen to earn the win. The left-hander went three shutout innings, giving up two hits, one walk and striking out five. Schuyler Wilcox also pitched well, going two shutout innings without allowing a hit, walking none and striking out two. Taylor finished off the game in the ninth inning, giving up one hit and striking out two.

Garner then homered off the right-field foul post for his first of the season, giving the Engineers a 6-5 lead.
