CHARLESTON, Ill. -- NCAA Division I Eastern Illinois University had a strong overall performance to pick up a 7-0 men's tennis victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon.
Joshua Giambattista led the Rose-Hulman effort by taking the No. 1 singles match to three tight sets. Giambattista narrowly fell 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 in the matchup.
Giambattista also teamed with
Owen Reynolds in the closest doubles match, a 6-3 loss at the top flight.
Rose-Hulman stands 5-7 on the season and returns to action on April 6 at home against DePauw University in the Senior Night match.
