TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team opens the 2022 season at the St. Thomas Invitational in Houston, Texas, on Friday and Saturday.  Live video from all four matches and live stats from two matches are available at the links above.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman returns 4 all-HCAC performers from the 2021 season.
* Sophia Koop led the Fightin' Engineers with 49 service aces in 2021 and was No. 2 on the squad with 299 kills and 306 digs to earn first-team all-HCAC recognition.  Her 28 kills in a 5-set win over Webster in 2021 snapped a 25-year old school record.  
* Elizabeth Canon led the team with 306 kills and added 123 digs in 2021 to earn honorable mention all-HCAC honors. 
* Allie Fults paced Rose-Hulman with 92 blocks and a .216 hitting percentage for honorable mention all-HCAC accolades. 
* Kylie Rathbun had a team-high 498 digs and also added 33 service aces and 33 assists as another honorable mention all-league honoree.
* Sophia Harrison joins Canon in representing the 2022 Fightin' Engineer volleyball senior class.  Harrison has tallied 541 assists and 287 digs as a Fightin' Engineer.
* After this weekend's St. Thomas Invitational, Rose-Hulman will compete at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational on Sept. 9-10.
