Men's Soccer Draws with Hope After Early Goal

TERRE HAUTE, Indiana -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team drew at home against Hope in a game between two high-level teams.

The Fightin' Engineers started off the game quickly as Caleb Urban took a long ball down the left side and slotted home a goal just 1:07 into the game.

Hope would get even in the 43rd minute with a goal from Seth Walters off of nice touch passes from both Thomas DeVries and Paulo Alcala.

In the second half, Hope outshot the Fightin' Engineers 6-3, but the Rose-Hulman defense with Urban, Luke Dawdy, and Zach Buvalic stood tall.

John Biederstedt remains undefeated in goal in his career as he ended the game with two saves.

The goal for Urban is his second goal of the season and the sixth of his career.

The Fightin' Engineers will return to action on Wednesday night as they travel to Millikin for another non-conference matchup.
