Volleyball Travels to Webster for Last Game Before Home Opener

TERRE HAUTE, Indiana -- The Rose-Hulman institute of Technology volleyball team hits the road once again for a Wednesday match at Webster at 7:00 CT. This game will be the last road game before the Fightin' Engineers return home for their home opener and the Rose-Hulman Invitational this weekend.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers come into this matchup at 3-7 after a great opening weekend in Houston.
* Sophia Koop leads the team in kills with 76 on the season.
* Sophia Harrison and Jillian Gregg have been excellent setting for the Fightin' Engineers with 147 and 144 assists. Gregg and Harrison are currently 12th and 13th in career assists.
* Harrison also leads the way in service aces with 24.
* Lily Ebright is the team leader in digs with 173.
* Allie Fults has dominated the defensive effort for Rose-Hulman with 27 blocks including seven in one game this past weekend.
* Elizabeth Canon currently sits at 763 career kills which puts her at 14th all-time in Rose-Hulman history.
* Rose-Hulman will be back in action next on Friday for their home opener and HCAC opener against Manchester at 7:00 PM.

WEBSTER NOTES:
* Webster comes in at 5-2 on the season with their two losses coming to Washington University - St. Louis and Buena Vista.
* The Gorloks come into this match on a three-game win streak.
* Lauren Borik is the top hitter for Webster with 111 kills on the season. The next most on the team is 45.
* Borik also leads the team in service aces with 10.
* On the defensive side, Kaylee Portell and Abby Jacobs have combined for 37 blocks on the season.

SERIES NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series 8-4 including four consecutive wins for the Fightin' Engineers.
* Rose-Hulman has won 7 of the last 8 in this series with a five set victory at home last year.
* The last Webster win came in 2016 in the Washington University - St. Louis Invitational.
