TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman took home their first victory of the women's soccer season with a 3-1 victory over Greenville University in the home opener for the Fightin' Engineers.
Kiana Martin got the scoring started for Rose-Hulman in the 16th minute off of corner kick from
Lane Lawrence.
Then, in the 24th minute,
Camille Clark scored her first career goal on a perfectly-timed run and long pass from
Kiley McKee.
McKee would then add to her assist with a goal from about 30 yards out in the 57th minute to put the Fightin' Engineers up 3-0.
Alicia Rodriguez provided the assist on the goal.
Greenville would tack on a late goal from Jen De Leon De Leon with 5 minutes remaining, but the Fightin' Engineers would take home the victory after outshooting the Panthers 12-5.
Natalie Dillon led the defensive effort by picking up the win in goal.
Rose-Hulman will return to the pitch in a week as they travel to their crosstown rival, St. Mary's of the Woods (1-0-1) on Wednesday, September 14th, for a 6:00 pm start.
