TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior
Tim Youndt has been named HCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week after a strong performance at last week's Friday Night Spikes Meet #3.
Youndt won the triple jump with the No. 3 ranked mark in Rose-Hulman history, behind only two All-American performers, with a leap of 45' 9 3/4" at Friday Night Spikes Meet #3. The mark is ranked No. 3 in the region and No. 2 in the HCAC this season.Â
Youndt also won the 60-hurdles with a time of 8.52 seconds to help the Fightin' Engineers place 2nd in the meet behind only national power WashU.
The 3-time HCAC triple jump champion has also earned 3 USTFCCA All-Region honors as a Fightin' Engineer.
Rose-Hulman returns to action with Friday Night Spikes Series Meet #4 this weekend at the Sports and Recreation Center.
