TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's soccer team takes its five-game win streak onto their home turf on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 PM as they host the Defiance Yellow Jackets in a battle of two of the last three unbeaten teams in the HCAC.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter this weekend at 7-3-1 on the season and 3-0 in the HCAC.
* They are currently on a five-game winning streak that includes wins over Millikin, Ohio Northern, Mount St. Joseph, Earlham, and Anderson. They have also outscored their opponents 18-1 during their win streak/
* The Fightin' Engineers' defense has not allowed a goal in the last three games and the last 338 minutes of game action dating back to a 22nd minute goal for Ohio Northern on September 23.
* Caleb Urban is the Fightin' Engineers all-time career assists leader and leads the team and the HCAC with six assists this season.
* Connor Patton leads the team offensively with six goals this year which is tied for 5th in the HCAC. Patton also is tied for the lead in the HCAC with three game-winning goals this season.
* Patton (13) and Urban (12) sit 6th and 7th in the HCAC in points this season. Tyler Eldridge also cracks the top-10 with 3 goals and 2 assists for 8 total points.
* John Biederstedt has recorded three consecutive clean sheets and ranks 2nd in the HCAC with five clean sheets this season. He also ranks 2nd in in goals against average at 1.11.
* Through three games in the HCAC, the Fightin' Engineers have yet to allow a goal. Hanover ranks 2nd in the conference in goals allowed in conference games with 4.
* Rose-Hulman was picked to win its fifth consecutive HCAC championship this fall in the preseason coaches poll.
* The Fightin' Engineers have an unprecedented 35 game unbeaten streak in the HCAC regular season dating back to 2019. They are 33-0-2 in that span.
* Rose-Hulman returns to the pitch on Wednesday, October 11 at Manchester at 7:30 PM.

DEFIANCE NOTES:
* Defiance comes into the year at 4-4-4 on the season and 1-0-2 in the HCAC.
* The Yellow Jackets are one of only three teams that remain unbeaten in the HCAC this season.
* Defiance started the year 0-3 with losses to Heidelberg, Wittenberg, and Case Western. They are 4-1-4 since that point.
* The Yellow Jackets came away with a huge 3-2 victory over Hanover on Saturday to pull a big upset in the HCAC.
* Riley Hensley leads the team with 9 goals this season. She has also added 2 assists.
* Fellow senior Joshua Maurer has added four goals.
* Freshman Griffin Meyer leads the team with 6 assists.
* In goal, Orry Killam has made 98 saves to 21 goals allowed. He has made 20 saves with 5 goals allowed in conference play. 
* Defiance will return to the pitch on Wednesday, October 11 as they host Anderson at 3:30 PM.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads Defiance 17-1 in the all-time series.
* The Fightin' Engineers won the first 16 meetings all-time dating back to the 2006 season.
* The lone win in the series for Defiance came in the HCAC Tournament in 2021 with a 1-0 win. The Fightin' Engineers outshot the Yellow Jackets 23-3 in the 2021 victory.
* Rose-Hulman came away with a 5-0 victory on the road last year with Owen Trudt scoring a pair of goals.
